Batteries: “The Reflected Sun”

13HRP – 0109 – A13 Batteries

Containment Status: Unstable / Local Reflection Events Confirmed
Object Class: Light Hazard / Energy Battery Unit

Description

Recovered from a broken research lab inside the Mirror Chapel zone, the A13 Battery line seems to hold the echo of a star that never existed. Moreover, each battery gives off light from a false sun, creating both wonder and fear.
Each cell gives a weak, reversed glow: light that gets darker as it grows brighter. Therefore, surfaces lit by an active A13 source show delayed and inverted reflections. In addition, long exposure makes photos capture negative light—images that show hidden shapes, structures, or watchers not found in the real scene.

Furthermore, temperature stays steady despite reports of a “cold shine.” Faint ticking, matching solar flare timing, hints at a link with ancient solar data. Consequently, the device sits between light and darkness.

Behavior Notes

  • Mirrors within 7 meters move slightly out of sync. Consequently, they reflect moments just before or after the present time.
  • Text lit by A13 glow rearranges into mirrored writing. Moreover, some symbols seem to shift on their own when watched.
  • Living beings feel as if they stand under sunlight yet cast no shadow at all. Therefore, the batteries twist how cause and effect behave.

Addendum 0109-R

The power of a sun that never was—pressed into a throwaway cell.

Cross-Reference: Warding Star Division A13

Old records show that A13 Batteries came from a consumer copy of the Warding Star engine, built by the short-lived Division A13. Furthermore, each unit holds small traces of the same alloy used in the original star device—a fragment of false sunlight locked in a metal shell.

Division A13 ended after reports of “reverse light” spreading through the factory. Consequently, walls started to glow softly in the dark, and shadows moved on their own. Moreover, workers said light bulbs dimmed while their reflections grew brighter.

As a result, the plant is now marked “active—without clear power source.” Therefore, field teams should approach carefully, as leftover reflections may still release stored light long after shutdown.

Furthermore, the Warding Star records describe failed efforts to control this reversed light, linking the effect directly to the A13 energy failure.
