Description
13HRP-0100, designated Mittens & Lock, is a paired set of anomalous items recovered from the depths of a Mirror World Mac Zurger vault. The objects consist of:
- Mittens: A pair of oversized gloves made from stitched yellow-red fabric resembling mascot wear. The insides contain thick, pulsing meat that stays warm and greasy to the touch. Furthermore, when worn, the mittens tighten and fuse to the user’s hands, leaving grease stains that never fade. In extended contact, the mittens whisper incomprehensible words to the wearer, often causing paranoia or cravings for raw fat.
- Lock: A heavy padlock engraved with a distorted Mac Zurger logo. Congealed fat coats its shackle. In addition, when the user wears the mittens, the lock generates a matching chain around their wrists, binding them in place. The lock rattles in rhythmic patterns, which some Council scholars interpret as coded signals to other anomalies.
Anomalous Effects
- Pairing: The mittens cannot exist without the lock. Consequently, if separated, both teleport back together after 13 minutes. Repeated tests showed that even when researchers placed them in different dimensions, the pairing still reasserted itself.
