Object Class: Crimson Tier — Weaponized Anomaly / Acoustic Hazard

Alternate Names: “The Sound Blaster,” “Resonance Cannon,” “Ear-Splitter”

Description

13HRP-0090, called the Sonic-Pulse-Cannon, is a large shoulder-mounted weapon that mixes heavy machinery with experimental sound tech. The Sonic-Pulse-Cannon is designed to fire concentrated sonic waves, knocking back targets rather than destroying them outright. As a result, its use feels closer to forced displacement than direct combat.

The weapon’s frame carries ribbed sound coils around a central dish-like opening. When fired, the Sonic-Pulse-Cannon projects an invisible cone of pressure and emits a sharp vibrating hum. Consequently, operators often report a lasting pressure in the head, even after only one shot.

Effects

  • Knockback Force: The Sonic-Pulse-Cannon can launch targets weighing up to 400kg over 10–30 meters. Therefore, it is effective for dispersing large groups.
  • Hearing Damage: Firing within 50m causes permanent hearing loss if ear protection is missing. In many cases, eardrums burst almost instantly, which makes the Sonic-Pulse-Cannon extremely hazardous to anyone nearby.
  • Structural Impact: Weak surfaces such as glass or thin concrete shatter under the blast. On the other hand, stronger, reinforced surfaces vibrate but usually hold.
  • Secondary Effect: Long bursts from the Sonic-Pulse-Cannon create faint after-tones—low sounds that cause nausea, confusion, and even visions of endless tunnels. Over time, repeated exposure drives many into mental collapse.

Containment Procedures

  • Keep the Sonic-Pulse-Cannon dismantled, storing its coils and central opening in separate sealed crates. This lowers the chance of misuse and reduces accidental activation.
  • Only Council-approved staff may reassemble the Sonic-Pulse-Cannon, and they must do so in sound-proof rooms with constant monitoring. In addition, they must rotate shifts to prevent extended exposure.
  • Stop all live-fire testing after Incident-0090-A. Instead, use simulation training for study and tactical planning.

Recovery Notes

Investigators found the Sonic-Pulse-Cannon in a raid on Facility-██. Records showed Mac Zurger labs built it under a “Crowd Control Initiative.” The Sonic-Pulse-Cannon was meant to clear people from Mirror World franchise hubs. Moreover, at discovery, the prototype sat in a wreck of broken glass, spilled grease, and dozens of deaf cultists chanting without sound.

Incident-0090-A

During its first test, researchers misjudged the resonance build-up. As a result, a single 5-second blast from the Sonic-Pulse-Cannon threw down the crew, broke containment windows, and left six staff permanently deaf. Later, one researcher claimed to hear “Mac Zurger jingles in pure vibration” long after, hinting the Sonic-Pulse-Cannon stamps sound patterns into the mind.

Directive – Grand Council of Xikeony (Seal)

“The ear is not a shield. Once broken, it will not return.”
— Grand Council of Xikeony, Edict 90.Σ

“Mark 0090 as a weapon born from noise. It is not music, not war — it is hunger amplified through sound. Therefore, we forbid its use outside records. Do not aim, do not fire. Those who wield the Sonic-Pulse-Cannon hear its song forever.”
