Object Class: Orange Tier — Spatial / Surreal Object

Alternate Names: “Potato Satellite,” “Bubble Stone,” “Floating Frame”

Description

13HRP-0085, called Space Photo, is a potato-shaped object about 2 meters long. It is made of an unknown stone that shines like glass. Space Photo drifts slowly in zero-gravity zones of the Mirror World, but it has also appeared inside locked chambers and underground rooms, ignoring normal space rules.

When approached, Space Photo releases translucent bubbles of bent space. These bubbles float outward, glowing faintly before popping with a low hum. Each burst briefly changes the area, creating effects such as:

  • Visual Shifts: Short flashes of strange skies, alien lands, or warped photos of the watchers themselves.
  • Time Flickers: Nearby clocks skip forward or back by seconds.
  • Mind Effects: Witnesses report déjà vu, random nostalgia, or thoughts that feel borrowed.

The bubbles leave no trace, but repeated bursts cause long-term dizziness and faint sounds of camera shutters clicking in empty places. Observers link these faint clicks directly to Space Photo, suggesting it records moments as if they were snapshots of memory.

Behavior

  • Space Photo drifts with no visible thrust, turning slowly as though floating in orbit.
  • Attempts to tie Space Photo down or trap it always fail; bubble bursts break fields and nets.
  • Although it appears at random, Space Photo often shadows groups of watchers over long ranges, hinting at low-level awareness.

Containment Procedures

  • Direct containment of Space Photo is not possible. Instead, watch satellites track its sightings.
  • Contact teams must keep at least 30 meters away. No one may take in more than 5 bubbles from Space Photowithin 24 hours.
  • Council order bans “photographic attempts,” since Space Photo often embeds itself into cameras, locking them forever.

Recovery / First Sightings

Space Photo was first seen near the Hollow Moon during Transition Storm 12, where it orbited for hours before vanishing in a bubble burst. A week later, Space Photo appeared inside a Mirror World observatory dome, where it filled the chamber with bubbles that bent light into endless images of the moon.

Directive – Grand Council of Xikeony (Seal)

“Mark 0085 as drifting lens. Space Photo photographs nothing, yet shows everything.

Do not chase it, do not claim it. The bubbles are not air — they are memory frames breaking open.

Let Space Photo drift. To catch it is to be caught.”
— Grand Council of Xikeony, Decree 85.Ω
